Search for sounds in nature

Step 1

In a park / beach/ forest. Students sit  in a circle, close their eyes and concentrate by counting the times the teacher strikes the triangle. If he / she strikes once, the students answer back with a clap. If he/she plays twice they answer back with two claps etc.

Step 2

Teacher plays the triangle once more and  asks students to omit its sound and concentrate  on other sounds they hear coming from the environment. For example sounds of  birds chirping, the wind, the waves, other animals, the sound of walking, the sound of playing music with rocks with wood sticks etc.

Step 3

Students make a list of the sounds they heard.

Digitally record the sounds.

Take pictures of the objects that made the sounds and print them.
